Since the establishment of Media for Development Trust (MFD) in 1989, we have grown to become one of the leading producers and distributors of African film and development communication within Africa, south of the Sahara.

Over the years the projects that we have been concerned with have involved partnerships with a selection of African Broadcasters and Independent Production Companies from across the continent. MFD and partners have also prepared dubs of up to seventeen different languages spoken in Africa for selected projects as most projects are produced in English. Once produced, MFD not only has the capacity to distribute the finished projects to tens of millions of people across the continent, but also to produce support materials (print and video) to supplement the use of the programs in formal and informal training and learning opportunities.
